The subject of this article is the consideration of the key problems of socioeconomic development of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra in the near future. This region
makes a significant contribution to the country's economy (primarily in the energy sector). Taking
into account the foreign policy situation, the main possible reasons for the development of problems
into a socio-economic crisis are shown.
