The article analyzes the natural and phenomenological attitudes of consciousness in the context of E. Husserl's phenomenological philosophy. Any installation of consciousness is formed due to the purposive activity of the subject and is clearly revealed in the act of critical reflection. The essence of the installation is to clarify consciousness in relation to the existing whole world, which is directly constituted in a continuous stream of diverse intentional experiences.
