The article deals with the problem of defining the concept of collocation and the main structural features of collocations with verbs of speaking in Norwegian (Bokmål): si ‘say’, snakke ‘speak’, tale ‘speak’. The main features of collocations are stability of composition, i. е. morphology, syntactic impermeability, certain prosodic characteristics, as well as their use in the phatic function or as a means of text cohesion. A comparison of Norwegian and Russian collocations shows a similarity in both form and function, which indicates the universality of this phenomenon.
