Old Turkic vocabulary is a huge layer of common Turkic vocabulary, which is the subject of numerous studies. One of the difficult issues of studying the Old Turkic vocabulary is the question of the interpretation of pair words. For the Old Uyghur language, in contrast to other recorded in the Old Turkic monuments, the paired words of the model «name-name», «verb-verb» etc., are characteristic, the interpretation of which raises certain questions.
