The article deals with the integral construct of psychoemotional wellbeing (PEW) and its age specificity. PEW integrated ideas of well-being in hedonistic and eudemonistic approaches and is considered as a construct that includes personality, cognitive-evaluative and emotional-affective blocks. On a sample of 122 people aged 22 to 55, level and structural differences between the periods of early (22-28 years) and middle (33-55 years) adulthood were examined. It was shown that with age, there is a shift in emphasis from the emotional-affective block (the significance of happiness and anxiety in the structure of PEW) to satisfaction – a cognitive assessment of life as a whole. The nature of PEW changes as they grow older from eudemonistic in early adulthood to hedonistic in middle adulthood.
