The paper investigates the text of an art review of the “Hermitage-Amsterdam” exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the Russian revolution. The text is viewed as a cognitive event of several cognitive mental levels: historical event - its mental model (cognitive event) - artistic realization of the cognitive model - art discourse as a linguistic event. Event constituting parameters are discussed.
