The article deals with the concepts of historical memory and
politics of history. The author analyzes the reasons for the necessity of politics of
history in Russia, the main steps towards its formation. Examples of the
implementation of politics of history in Europe and the United States are given. The
article highlights the main actors of Russian politics of history, analyzes its legislative
framework.
