The Draft of the new Labor Code is being discussed in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the article is to cover and analyze the proposed changes in the labor legislation. On the basis of the comparative legal analysis of the current Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the new Draft of Labor Code and law enforcement practice, the author concludes that the new rules will help balance the interests of workers and employers, will eliminate existing gaps in legal regulation of labor and directly related social relations, and also will harmonize provisions of national legislation with international labor standards.
