The article is devoted to paintings by the Soviet artist V. V. Pakulin depicting the besieged Leningrad. The author analyzes the creative method of V. V. Pakulin, examines the relationship of his works with the events of the war period of the artist's life. It is concluded that the paintings by V. V. Pakulin are an important visual source for the study of the history of the Leningrad blockade.
