On 92 anatomical specimens and examination data of 120 women, the relationships between body types, the shape of the small pelvis and the development of pelvic organ prolapse were traced. It is shown that the anatomical prerequisites for the development of this disorder are: the pelvic cavity widening downward, an increase in the sagittal angle of the perineum, a decrease in the inclination angle of the pelvis, a gyneco-morphic body type, an increase in body mass index, total fat, visceral fat, and a decrease in total muscle mass.
