The paper discusses the role of youth jargon in our time, its
influence on modern literary language and russian spoken language. A number of
works by V.G. Kostomarov gives answers to these questions from different points
of view, consistently justifying the idea of the importance of the linguistic taste
of the era for the development of the modern literary standard. Contexts confirm
