The Internet is actively developing in Russia in the 21st century and in this regard various language processes in Russian are activated. The language game is becoming more and more widespread, which is due to the activity of the linguistic identity and its ability to creatively use linguistic knowledge. The material of the article was a popular genre of modern Internet poetry «pirozhok», the analysis of which clearly shows how the language game in the text manifests itself. The classification of the types of language games is proposed; the examples containing phonetic, derivational, morphological and lexical language game are analyzed.
