The paper is devoted to studying polysemy and homonymy in the modern English medical terminology. The author points out that this terminology is characterized by categorial polysemanticism. Homonymy is observed among the most frequent words. Lexical-grammatical homonymy is more frequent phenomenon. Lexical homonymy is hardly observable in the terminology under analysis.
