The article deals with the specific features of international activity (paradiplomacy) of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) from the early 1990s to the present time and looks into the place of the Arctic direction in it. It is noted that the most significant element of the SRY Arctic paradiplomacy was and still is the activity within the Northern forum. In addition, the Republic periodically parti-cipates in major international events dedicated to the Arctic. It is concluded that the relatively low activity of the SRY Arctic paradiplomacy (despite its significant Arctic potential) is caused not only by objective reasons, but also by subjective ones, including the lack of a pronounced Arctic identity.
