This article deals with one of the most pressing and acute problems for international law today - the fate of sovereignty. In today's globalising society there is an increasing interconnection, mutual influence and assimilation of peoples, civilisations, cultures and states, and there is a risk of the formation of supranational formations with the disappearance of nation states. Is the disappearance of sovereignty as a phenomenon possible? The article examines the question through the history.
