The article analyzes in detail the specifics of the so-called "platform" business models that have become widespread in the era of digital business transformation, and also proposes a mechanism for their comparison with traditional business models. It is shown that in a number of industries platform business models, using the latest scientific achievements, are rapidly replacing traditional ones.
