Тhe concept of criticism of media speech in relation to the theoretical provisions of media linguistics is discussed. The object and subject of criticism of media speech as a theoretical and applied discipline is determined. A special approach to the critical analysis of the media text created in the professional sphere of mass communication is substantiated: in particular, the need for the application of norms and technologies to the evaluation of the comic in the media is noted.
