The author discusses the time in which S. B. Chernetsov lived and worked,
so about his colleagues and teachers, who largely determined his scientific
activities. Being not only an erudite, but also an extraordinary person,
S.B. Chernetsov also had a strong influence on his surroundings, sometimes
pushing to original approaches in solving scientific problems.
