The review considers the consumption of new designer drugs in adolescent youth, which in the Russian Federation by 2014 acquired a character close to the epidemic. Modern data on epidemiology, the picture of intoxication, the dependence clinic, the complications associated with the consumption of "spice" - synthetic cannabinoids (SC) and "bath salts" - synthetic psychostimulants (SP) - cathinones are given. Separately, the issue of the association of SC abuse and the schizophrenia development is considered. The need to develop evidence-based therapeutic tactics in SC and SP dependence is emphasized.
