Modality in the article is treated as necessity and expedience of sustainable development of EEU financial market. This formulation of the research question is substantiated within the context of the present-day development of sustainable finances, priorities of sustainable development and the specificities of neo-continental financial systems in EEU countries. Russian banks and regional development banks should play the decisive role in sustainable development of EEU financial market.
