The results of clinical and psychological examination of 82 patients with ovarian cancer at different stages of treatment are presented and discussed. The frequency and severity of affective disorders in patients with ovarian cancer are determined. It is shown, that affective disorders undergo changes with the development of the disease from psychogenic reaction at the stage of diagnosis to somatogenic depression with a pronounced somato-vegetative and asthenic component. Anxiety and phobic disorders prevail in the structure of affective disorders in ovarian cancer patients, formed mainly by psychogenic mechanism. Young patients are at risk of developing affective disorders. The necessity of clinical-scale evaluation of patients for accurate diagnosis of affective disorders is shown. The obtained models of risk factors and mutual influence of affective and somatic disorders can be taken into account when choosing a strategy of psychological intervention. It is assumed that cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy can be an effective method for these patients.
