The article considers the problem of digitalization of governance in Brazil in the context of the digital transformation of developing countries with the involvement of the governance approach to public administration. As a research method, the case method is used. Brazil is one of the leaders in the Latin America region (disputing this title with Argentina) and is characterized by the presence of typical problems for the region both in state administration, as well as in the economic, social and political spheres: corruption, patrimonialism, bureaucratism, poor quality of services provided by the state , political appointments to administrative posts, economic crisis, unemployment, dissatisfaction of the population with the quality of public services. The digitalization of public administration in the context of existing challenges can be considered as a mechanism to overcome the inefficiency of public administration through reform.
