In the article the ground of the boredom phenomenon is presented as the special mental condition. Various approaches to understanding mental conditions of a person and different classifications of mental conditions are described. The basic distinctive features of boredom phenomenon are characterized and specificity of the condition of boredom among other conditions of a person is defined.
