Religion is one of the ancient forms of spiritual culture, which in the modern world still has a powerful and significant impact on various spheres of social life, as it did in the early centuries. A striking example of this influence is the introduction of Confucianism as a state ideology, which strengthened the national consciousness of the Chinese civilization. The article is devoted to the influence of Confucianism on the daily life of the modern Chinese. The authors pays attention to the study of Chinese food culture, modern family ethics and the direction of development of the modern tourism industry in China. Confucian values today direct the impetuous impulse of innovative technologies in the right direction and clearly, in accordance with moral and ethical social criteria, contribute to the harmonization of the development of modern Chinese society. Confucianism creates a balance between traditional and innovative forces. Thanks to this, the development of modern Chinese society becomes more stable and harmonious. The authors shows that Confucianism plays an important role in the daily life of the modern Chinese people. As traditional Chinese philosophy, Confucianism is a «study of life», it is not only a game of the concept, not only scientific research, not only an object of objective knowledge, but also the embodiment of all this in life. Moreover, in modern China, the significance of Confucianism is no longer to serve politics and national governance, but rather to maintain the cultural uniqueness of the Chinese nation and the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture.
