The high scientific potential of ideas about personality as a unit of psychological analysis is confirmed by V.N. Myasischev’s holistic approach to the problem of personality, its disorders, and psychological inter-ventions aimed at their correction. The theory of personality relations, the concept of psychological origin of neurotic disorders and the psychotherapeutic system interconnected with them, united in conceptual unity, is a unique approach in Russian psychology, which fills the lack of a clear theoretical basis of psychotherapeutic practice. The article makes an attempt to consider the psychological content of V.N. Myasischev’s pathoge-netic concept of neuroses and psychotherapy in connection with the psychology of relations.
