By means of the idiomatic expressions containing that connote semantic components with the expressed emotional loading influence of a situational context on actions and decisions of the worker was investigated. Previously 10 working situations were provided to each of 84 respondents. During the experiment respondents solved the problems comprising the possible working problems and difficulties important for their professional life. At the same time the list from 64 idiomatic expressions which are selected so that their context belonged to various work situations was provided to respondents. Further examinees were offered to choose from the list a suitable idiom which could characterize a work situation and another idiom which could characterize the decision chosen by the worker for this situation. This procedure was made with each of 10 working tasks. Data processing: correlation and qualitative analyses. Results: the tendency of the choice of idioms, similar on contents, to situations and to the chosen actions in these situations is observed. The choice of idioms for the decision statistically significantly correlates with the choice of an idiom for a situation.
