The article deals with the Slovakia's historical memory influence on contemporary Russian-Slovak relations. The objectives and content of the Slovak history politics are determined on the basis of analyzing the Constitution, memorable dates and its current appearance. Turning to the past plays positive role in building relations between the states, but anti-communist policy intensification and emphasis on Slovakia's western path lead to difficulties.
