The article is devoted to the study of literary and artistic style in its different understanding. On the one hand, it reflects the era and artistic and aesthetic values. This is a category of objectivity. On the other hand, the author himself is seen in the work as a specific person. His individual vision of the subject and innovation create the subjective in style. In the second part of the article, stylistic tendencies of modern literature are considered.
