The purpose of the work is to analyze the problems of the digital economy in the social sphere and identify recommendations for adapting a person to new conditions within the framework of Industry 4.0. The authors used a systematic approach, probably statistical methods, synthesis of information. The authors conclude that the emergence and implementation of digital technology can lead to a significant number of positive changes for the national economy. At the same time, digitalization is not only positive changes, but also serious risks. Structural unemployment, socioeconomic inequality, society’s unpreparedness for retraining are just some of them.
