Aim: identification and analysis of primary morbidity (one-stage section) of schizophrenic patients over 60 years of age according to the data of referrals to psychiatric institutions in 4 districts of the Russian Federation, as well as the study of the dispensary contingent. Methods. Study design - descriptive epidemiological. The data for 4 federal districts of the Russian Federation were analyzed in comparison with the general indicators for the Russian Federation. The material of the research was the data of the federal statistical observation form No. 10 “Information on diseases of mental disorders and behavioral disorders (except for diseases associated with the use of psychoactive substances). The indicators are calculated as of 01.01.2019.The data are presented on the primary (incidence) incidence in absolute numbers and per 100 thousand of the corresponding population. Results. In the Russian Federation, 14,561 (9.9 per 100 thousand) persons were recorded with the first diagnosis of schizophrenia, or 0.36% in the population. Among patients 60 years and older, schizophrenia was diagnosed in 1224 (3.8 per 100 thousand), which amounted to 8.4% of all primary patients. In 34 constituent entities of the Federation, these shares ranged from 2.4 to 18.1%. In 6 subjects, the primary incidence rates are zero. Conclusion. The obtained data can be used in solving the problems of organizing psychiatric care for elderly patients with schizophrenia.
