This article presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the experience of loneliness in the context of socio-demographic characteristics (age, gender, marital status and region of residence) during adulthood. The specificity of experiencing the phenomenon in the corresponding groups is described. Our research showed that loneliness is not an exclusively negative phenomenon, but is perceived by the majority of research participants as a resource for self-knowledge and self-development.
