The article deals with the changes in education under the influence of information and communication technologies. It is proved that the differences between the digital, information, knowledge economy and the new economy are mainly terminological. At the same time, the benefits presented in digital form, unlike other definitions and definitions, have a material nature and can be taken into account and presented in statistical form and economic-mathematical models. It is indicated that the continuous technological progress characteristic of the digital economy, puts individuals in front of the need to learn, develop their creativity and build a career throughout life.
