The article discussed the cosmological fragments in the Sermons by St. Kirill (Cyril) of Turov (XIIth cent.). Despite their heteromorphic origins, they show a notable unity of semantic and syntactic structure. It is based on a binary syntactic parallelism and semantic opposition «above - below» (usually «heaven - earth»).
