The purpose of this work is to study and analyze the place and role of South Africa in the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China. The subject of the study is the Sino-South African relations; the object is China's foreign policy at the present stage. The theoretical basis of the study was the works of Russian, Chinese, European and American authors. Analyses of official documents, statistics, problem-historical analysis, historical-genetic method were used when writing the work. The work is based on the principles of historicism, consistency and objectivity Results. The role of South Africa in the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China is analyzed; the achievements and problems in cooperation between the two countries are identified. Practical significance of the work. The results of the research can be used in preparation for practical classes on the course "International integration processes and international organizations" and "History of International Relations".
