The article dedicated to the 140th anniversary of higher education in Russia reveals the fate of six women scientists, graduates of the St. Petersburg Higher Women's (Bestuzhev) Сourses who left abroad, where they continued to engage in scientific activities, achieving significant results in various fields of science. The professional scientific activity of graduates of Сourses abroad is practically not covered in Russian historiography. And foreign historiography, covering the professional path of women scientists, does not connect their high subject preparation with the activities of the first pre-revolutionary women's university in Russia. This article is intended to change the course of things. The author seeks, albeit briefly, to highlight the activities of graduates of Сourses abroad.
