the article presents the results of an audience survey on the formation of a Russian media image in Kazakhstani media, as well as the results of a content analysis of print, audiovisual media in Kazakhstan from January 1 to December 28, 2019, reflecting the life of Russia (mentionability, orientation, tonality, genre embodiment). The unit of analysis was hotel publications, the units of account were references to Russia and the president of the Russian Federation.
