The report deals with the inscriptions dedicated to the Emperor's divinity (numen) which were discovered in Britain. Three varieties of the imperial cult in Roman Britain are examined: the “Municipal cult” (the dedications to the Emperor's divinity were made in the name of communities and municipalities), the “Private cult” (surviving privatededications, both Roman and native), “Military cult” (numerous votive inscriptions madeby soldiers, officers and subdivisions of theRoman army stationed in Roman Britain). The author drawsa conclusion that the state imperial religion penetrated all the ensemble of economic, social and military life of Roman Britain. The articles of D. Fishwick, the outstanding specialist on the imperial cult in Roman Britain, are employed in the report. It is the particularity of the report by comparison with other works on this subject in the home historiography.
