The article is devoted to consideration of cultural and civilizational aspect of the Three Seas Initiative that unites the states of Central Eastern Europe. By the analysis of documents and historical and cultural prerequisites for the formation of their own identity and common values, the author considers that the community is possible to build on different civilizational bases, so the future of the Initiative, despite following the European principles, hasn't been definitively determined yet.
