The article analyzes the philosophy of education of Bertrand Russell, the first articles in this register were published by him almost 120 years ago. At first it was a discussion about the study of mathematics, then the teaching of emotions, and the true masterpiece was the publication of the book «On Education: Especially in Early Childhood» (1926). This book, as well as subsequent articles, is related to the interest in children, when Russell had them. A study of school curricula by spouses showed that it was necessary to establish their own school, which was done. A peculiar refrain of the philosopher’s ideas in pedagogy was the thesis that love, backed up should be the real basis for nurturing and transforming the world. At the same time, the thinker states that «a good world needs knowledge, kindness and courage». These are the three components of education and are discussed in the article involving all of Russell’s work.
