MicroRNA is a class of small non-coding RNAs that play an important role in the mRNA regulation translation and degradation. Recent studies have reported the implication of miRNAs in the development of preeclampsia (PE) – the severe and common pregnancy complication. The purpose of this review is to analyze the current knowledges on miRNAs associated with PE. The possibilities of miRNA for early diagnosis and prevention of PE are discussed. Targets of these miRNAs are briefly described. The most promising PE predictors are identified.
