The article deals with native Russian speakers’ perception of a talkative
person through the functional-semantic analysis of units nominating such person. The article contains conclusions about the importance of that
fragment in the Russian language picture of the world, the native Russian
speakers’ assessment of a talkative man, stereotypical gender and ethnic
views that exist in Russian collective consciousness.
