Lately, Islamic finance became a very popular line of scientific investigations. However, there are rather little integrated studies referred to such an important category as «Islamic financial system» in our country; that makes difficulties in studying Islamic finance in the framework of traditional financial disciplines. Thus, examination of Islamic financial system is considered to be actual and scientifically significant. The article is devoted to the sense and the basic principles of Islamic financial system in connection with concepts of Islamic financial instruments and institutions.
