The article addresses issues related to the defi tion and self-determination of Russian philosophy, modern including. When understanding, analysis and identification of the characteristic features of domestic philosophizing is essential the following aspects: - substantive, semantic, stylistic and formal uncertainty; - the presence of textual gaps related to the dependency existing at a particular point in time, political-ideological presets; obvious bias and a tendency to see knowledge itself as the essential act of influencing the course of socio-cultural practices. Witness the last 30 years, boom return to mainstream popular and heavily used texts previously located because of political circumstances outside the attention of experts and companies, unfortunately, accompanied by the withdrawal or neglect of offi al philosophy of the Soviet period. Th s inevitably leads to the fact that the overall coherent picture of the evolution and development of the domestic philosophical thought to be not possible. Today the General situation of vagueness is exacerbated by the fact that thanks to the latest technology (particularly the Internet), along with professionals in the “philosophical work” involved quite a large number of Amateurs, “Amateur philosophers”, with their subject fi lds and strategies of their development, which can and should be included in the unifi d register of the Russian type of philosophizing.
