Dr. Daria Vasileva
Daria Alexeevna Vasileva - the candidate of sociological Sciences, Associate Professor of cultural anthropology and ethnic sociology.
She was born in 1984. Immediately after high school (class of profound studying of English language) in 2001Daria Vasileva joined the faculty of sociology, St. Petersburg State University.
In 2006 she defended a thesis on specialty "Social anthropology" on the theme "Education in the context of self-identification of indigenous peoples of the North".
2007-2009 - conducted dissertation research under the guidance of Professor Kuropyatnik Marina Stepanovna. In 2010 Daria Vasileva defended her thesis on "Formation of local socio-cultural space in the context of globalization (on the example of enterprise within the production group international company)" in the specialty "Sociology of culture". The project was implemented with the support of the grant of SPbSU "Transformation of local communities in the context of globalization" (faculty of sociology 2009-2010)/
Dr. Vasileva is a specialist in social anthropology. She developed and taught courses: "The Anthropology of Life-supports and Development", "Anthropology of space ", "Anthropological Research Methods" for undergraduate students. The results of the research have created special courses for graduate students "Time and Space in Social Anthropology" and "Anthropology of Development".
Together with colleagues, Dr. Vasileva has developed an elective course which is very popular among students "Photo on the Internet: anthropological aspects of network configurations".
Also, she conducts seminars for the basic course of training of bachelors of "science":
- Social anthropology.
Throughout years of work at the faculty of Daria Vasileva involved in organizational and social activities at the faculty:
