abstract = "The problem of vibrations of a thin-walled elastic cylindrical shell reinforced by frames of different rigidity is investigated. The solution for the case of the clamped shell edges was obtained by asymptotic methods and refined by the finite element method. Rings with zero eccentricity and stiffness varying along the generatrix of the shell cylinder are considered. Varying the optimal coefficients of the distribution functions of the rigidity of the frames and finding more precise parameters makes it possible to find correction factors for analytical formulas of approximate calculation.",
