This paper emphasizes the necessity and importance of combining EAP and ESP in modern language learning. Although many STEM, economic, and other highly specialized educational programs rely mostly on ESP approach in teaching a foreign language it seems reasonable to introduce such elements of EAP as academic writing techniques, methods of text analysis, and public speaking practices in ESL teaching to prepare a well-rounded specialist. The paper describes some practical ways for integrating EAP elements into an ESP syllabus.
