Выдержка

This article aims to identify a certain disposition of Russian philosophy, consideredin the specific cases of three thinkers with a European prestige - Leon Chestov (1866-1938), Michaїl Bakhtin (1895-1975), Valery Podoroga (born in 1946) - towards translation as a fundamental operation of thought. This disposition, seen in the gesture of the philosophers with respect to the untranslatable, comes to be expressed quite simply in the violence against the original, in the cultural inhospitality, sometimes concealed by the preconception of the omni-receptivity of the Russian culture, expressed in the past by Dostoievski in his tribute to Pushkin. Keywords : translation, untranslatable, Russian philosophy, das Unheimliche, cultural hospitality.
