The contribution of Eopyr to total pools with forest floor and 20 cm of the mineral profile is 7-14% of SOM pools, and 15-12% of moisture pools. This contribution is important for dystrophic soils of pine forests in well-drained sandy habitats, where dry periods in summer are regular even in humid climates. Moisture measurements were taken only for one day, but they are significant for starting the research. Further study of the Eopyr is promising for the clarifying the reserves of organic matter and moisture in forest soils. The results can be used to predict the restoration time of pine forests after fires and sustainable forest management.
