Abstract

Surface waves on strongly elongated bodies close to bodies of rotation are investigated. The dispersion equation for surface waves is analyzed numerically. It is established that the slide magnetic wave propagates along the surface of an elongated body with substantially less decay than is predicted by traditional theory.
