Abstract

On the basis of a rigorous definition of the relative importance of criteria for a wide class of multicriteria problems, two approaches to justify restriction of the Pareto set that use a finite set of quantitative data on the relative importance of the criteria are suggested for a rather wide class of multicriteria problems.
